HERE FOR GOOD’S GUIDE

Here for Good is a new charity established to empower EU, EEA and Swiss nationals living in this country, by making them aware of the action they can take during the Brexit process to protect their own and their families’ rights– whether they have been here for years or arrived just weeks ago.

Our first major piece of work has been to produce this guide to help answer the question most EU, EEA and Swiss nationals living in the UK will have been asking themselves since the outcome of the UK’s EU Referendum – what should I do now?

The guide’s approach is to break that question down into a series of 20 simple questions and, wherever possible, to offer short, practical answers from a team of expert lawyers. We recommend everyone starts with the Note from the Founders, then moves on to Q1.

Q1: Is this Guide for me?
Q2: What about the family members of European nationals?
Q3: If everything is uncertain, how can I decide what to do?
Q4: What rights do I already have?
Q5: What will happen to these automatic rights when the UK leaves the EU?
Q6: Do the Draft Withdrawal Agreement or Home Office Statement of Intent give me any rights?
Q7: What is likely to happen if the Home Office’s plans are implemented?
Q8: As a European national living here, should I be thinking about applying for a Home Office document to confirm my current rights?
Q9: When must I apply for a Home Office document confirming Permanent Residence?
Q10: Are my children likely to benefit if I apply for a Home Office document confirming permanent residence?
Q11: Might there be other benefits to applying for a Home Office document confirming Permanent Residence?
Q12: How do I apply for a Home Office document certifying Permanent Residence?
Q13: What is the European Passport Return Service?
Q14: If I have yet to automatically acquire permanent residence, is applying for a ‘Registration Certificate’ worthwhile?
Q15: How do I apply for a ‘Registration Certificate’ if I still want to?
Q16: How do I become a British citizen?
Q17: What action can I take to challenge discrimination against me?
Q18: What other useful information is out there?
Q19: Where can I get specialist help if I need it?
Q20: What does the Guide mean when it says…..?

Here For Good is crowdfuning to hire caseworkers in priority regions across the UK- to provide in-person immgration advice to the most vulnerable EEA citizens and their families.
